Welcome

The undulating and enigmatic lines of the door’s screen balanced nicely against its silhouetted frame. To emphasize the screening, I photographed close to the door with a 28 mm. In the subdued light, the lens aperture was wide open and I couldn’t keep both the door and the outside in focus. That was fine with me, however. I wanted the outside soft focused and dreamlike. I just needed enough depth for the door.

I explored a variety of angles and compositions. At this angle only a sliver of the outside world glinted through and I was reminded of long ago summers and other screen doors.
